Buying online
We use industry standard RC4-128 bit encryption on our website, which means that the data you provide us cannot be viewed by an unauthorised user. You’ll know when the page you’re on is secure because you’ll see the locked padlock icon in the corner of the page.
Once we have your information, we hold it on a secure server.
Your information
We will never share your personal information with third parties for marketing, sales or information-gathering purposes.
In order for us to arrange your insurance policy, we need to share your details with the policy insurer. Both parties guarantee the security of your personal information.
In rare circumstances, we could be compelled by law (including by regulators or law enforcement agencies) to disclose such information. In such instances personal information held by us may be disclosed on a confidential basis, and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998, to such third parties.
Handling your money
Premiums for policies purchased from this website should be settled by debit or credit card payment.
Complaints and compensation
We aim to provide you with a high level of customer service at all times, but if you are not satisfied, please contact us by email or by calling 01634 862525 and asking for our Complaints Manager.
We promise to acknowledge and where possible resolve your complaint, within 5 days of receipt. If our investigations are likely to take longer, we’ll tell you within 5 days when you can expect a resolution (and will commit to reaching this within 20 days of your complaint arriving in our office).
The Financial Ombudsman Service (0845 080 1800 or www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk) is available for private customers.
Compensation
We are covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). The FSCS is the UK’s statutory fund of last resort for customers of financial services firms. The FSCS can pay compensation if an insurance intermediary is unable to pay claims against it. You may therefore be entitled to compensation from the scheme if we cannot meet our obligations.
For business conducted on or after 14th January 2005, compulsory insurances are covered in full, and for all other insurances the FSCS covers 100% of the first £2,000,000 plus 90% of the remainder of the claim.
Further information about compensation scheme arrangements is available from the FSCS (www.fscs.org.uk).
